CSSI Trade Extract Utility

The Trade Extract Utility is a proprietary CSSI platform application. It allows users to extract data from Advent Moxy in custom formats that are tailored to users’ specific needs. Users can request a custom format that is specific to their own needs or they can choose from one of our pre-coded template formats. Some of our more popular formats are as follows:

  • Fidelity FTO Custodial Confirmation
  • Schwab Custodial Confirmation
  • Morgan Stanley CGT Trade Connect
  • SEI TOEINT
  • Pershing MOPS
  • First Clearing Custodial Confirmation
  • US Bank Custodial Confirmation
  • SWIFT Trade Transmissions
  • Instinet
  • Elkins McSherry Trade Analysis Format
  • Merryll Lynch Custodial Confirmation

The Trade Extract Utility sits outside of Moxy and can be installed on the Moxy server or any number of user desktops. Extracts can be run manually when the need arises or they can be fully automated from end to end. The utility itself can be scripted from the command line and run through Windows Scheduler. Further automation can be added to the process to encrypt the resulting data files and transmit them via FTP/SFTP or email.

21 Years of Composite Construction

Having never worked with composites before, an APX firm with over a thousand active portfolios and history back to 1993 chose a verifier and began the process of firm and composite definition. The firm developed and documented rules for assigning portfolios to one of sixteen different composites and then turned to CSSI for help developing a utility for initial composite construction and ongoing composite maintenance.

CSSI’s Consulting group developed a series of reports to analyze initial discretion along with month by month allocation to track potential movement from one composite to another. Additionally, transactions were analyzed to identify large purchases or sales that caused a portfolio to cross a threshold. CSSI also developed a utility that uses the output from these reports to construct the composite files.
